RootSignal is a TranquilTech technology for live presence and intention, designed to travel across communities, contexts, and product surfaces. First implemented in Mycelial.
What it does
A signal is a reach toward presence
There are moments that do not fit a post or a thread. A heavy hour after a session. A quiet need for company. A gathering that wants to happen now, not at a scheduled time. RootSignal is the layer for that. A lightweight way to surface presence and intention to the people who are already nearby in the network.
A signal carries an optional short message ("just got out of a session," "need some grounding," "could use a friendly presence") and a visibility scope: your trusted circle, your community, or the open network. Signals are ephemeral by design. They expire in two hours and leave no permanent record. The network is often quiet, and that quiet is meaningful.
When a signal is visible, others respond by showing up. Joining a real-time signal room. Sending acknowledgment. Simply letting the sender know someone saw the reach. The signal infrastructure runs on Supabase Realtime, so presence updates are near-instantaneous. The UI is minimal on purpose: a pulse, a message, a button that says "Show up."

Built to travel
RootSignal is a TranquilTech technology designed to live wherever presence and quiet reach belong: inside healing communities, between practitioners and the people they hold, across the orbit of TranquilTech's other products, and in implementations beyond TranquilTech entirely.
The first implementation lives inside Mycelial, where Groves and the Mycelial Network give the signal layer a real community to test against. The patterns that surface there shape what RootSignal becomes everywhere else.
Other product surfaces in the TranquilTech ecosystem will adopt RootSignal as they mature. The technology is built to be embedded across product surfaces and across organizations.

Today, and where it goes next
RootSignal lives inside Mycelial today at mycelial.help/rootsignal. As the technology matures and other implementations come online, it will move to its own home at rootsignal.tranquiltech.solutions. This page is its public address in the meantime.
